the artwork on this website is categorized by the series in which they were created. feel free to browse the various series listed to the right. there's a brief description of each series listed below.

• early works series is a series of paintings i created between 1999 and 2002. some of these were created for a few art classes i took at siuc to learn some of the basic fundamentals of painting. i have one more series of paintings prior to the early works series which can be reviewed by request only. these consist of my first paintings created between 1997 and 1999 when i first explored the realm of painting.
  
  
• conceptual color series is the latest series which is in progress and will remain so well into 2008. i will upload progress photos of this series as the paintings are completed so please check back for regular updates. this series of paintings will have a similar style to my painting titled 'some random joint' which i in fact created randomly on a piece of cardboard but has won the most interest. these paintings in this series are created using a new method i created. the canvases i paint in this series are from a method i devised using oak hardwood panels. each canvas is a perfect square at 2' x 2' and when hung on the wall they sit 2 inches from the wall creating a unique shadow effect. this is a method i plan to use for most of my paintings as my signature technique.
